Phoenix
offers a nice selection of golf resorts in all areas of the metropolitan area. From the historic Biltmore Resort with 36 holes that have been challenging celebrities and U.S. Presidents for decades to the new Wildfire Golf Club at Marriott's Desert Ridge which also features 36 holes.
Scottsdale
resorts also offer a great base of which to play the more than 50 other phoenix metro area courses. Many of these courses are within a 30 minute drive of most Phoenix
resorts. The Point Golf Club at Lookout Mountain features the same course architect as the picturesque Rancho Manana Golf Club located in Cave Creek. Both courses offer quite a bit of elevation change without too many over powering bunkers that are a signature of golf course architect, Bill Johnston.
Many nice resorts in the valley don't have onsite golf courses but most are only minutes from dozens of golf options that can satisfy any golfers needs from more traditional layouts that are somewhat flat like the popular Orange Tree Resort to more dramatic layouts like the two courses at Wildfire Golf Club.
